Myrna is an author who desires to point her readers to God. She shares short stories about faith in the Holy Trinity – The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, her childhood, family history and genealogy, the genetic heart defect LongQT, the condition of Tinnitus, musings about life, motherless daughters, and more. Myrna is a wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
She enjoys boating in and near Lake Michigan, with her husband of thirty-six years. They have two adult sons. She enjoys reading, writing, attending writing and Bible conferences, scrapbooking, taking photographs and biking. Myrna taught elementary school for twenty-seven years, now she likes to help where she can at her church and volunteers for Hospice, where she conducts “Life Review” interviews and vigils.
Future book ideas are floating around about her ancestors who came across on a ship from the Netherlands. She’s also very interested in bringing hope to those who have lost their mothers, with her first book, Daughters of Hope: Thriving after Mother Loss, which released in March of 2020.
