Spring Glory

Hasn’t it been absolutely beautiful lately? Here’s some pictures I snapped of the beautiful trees, bushes and flowers we have enjoyed the last few weeks as Michigan comes alive. Please share Bible verses which go with these photographs. I’d love to have a collection of scriptures which speak of nature, Spring, or God’s faithfulness in giving us all this beauty, and others can enjoy the verses you share.

  1. Song of Songs 2:11-12. See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.

  2. Are any of those almond trees? I love these photos!!

Why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. – Matthew 6:28-29, NIV

  3. Kelly Tanis says:

Genesis 1: 11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Another thing came to me, but it wasn’t a Scripture, but a song – “For the Beauty of the Earth” and I pondered how God could have made the whole world gray scale. How thankful I am that He did not! He knew that beauty in nature lifts our hearts and spirits. Oh how well He knows US!

You enjoy and photograph a lot of sunsets over Lake Michigan.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
    Ps. 113:3.

  6. Ami Coote says:

“Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.” Luke 12:27 NLT

This verse always reminds me that there is so much beauty in nature that God gives naturally… I shouldn’t worry because God cares enough about flowers and trees to make them beautiful … he cares even more about me.
