What does “Tablet of your Heart” mean?

In the Bible, there are several places where it speaks of God writing on “The tablets of our hearts”. Two of them are in 2 Cor. 3:2-3, and in Prov. 3:3. We are to be letters for Christ, written not just on stone tablets, but on human hearts. So in our lives today, we should strive to live according to God’s plan and “BE” what He wants us to be. As a Christ-follower, the goal is to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord by our example and not just our words. Caring, praying, and doing for others and for God, out of gratefulness to Him for His matchless grace. He is a wonderfully faithful God.

Thank you for taking the time to write these words of encouragement. I am going through some health issues right now and especially the last line spoke to my heart that God is wonderfully faithful. So thank you for being willing to share with others what you know to be true about our God!

Amen! I must strive by the power of the Holy Spirit within me. By the Spirit I have victory. By the flesh, I crash and burn. Romans 7:18
For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out. Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power- ability, efficiency and might- when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judes and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. Ephesians 5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the Holy Spirit.

Myrna, thanks for the explanation. I’ll be looking for that phrase in my Bible reading.
